SUSTAINABLE. SASSY. SELF-MADE.

On this page, we’ll show you what’s already working well when it comes to sustainability and where we still need to improve.

We know we’re not perfect yet, but we do our best to act sustainably at every level of our business. We are aware of our responsibility and continuously work towards leaving a smaller footprint with every step we take and every step still to come.

Step by step.

We’re not interested in empty promises or greenwashing. We want to create real impact and make a genuine difference.

What these Certifications mean

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Product Class II

Our tights are tested for harmful substances by our Italian manufacturer in accordance with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 – one of the world's most recognized textile safety certifications. The testing follows the strict criteria for textiles that come into direct contact with the skin.

amfori BSCI Audit, Rating A

Our underwear manufacturing partner in Istanbul has been audited by Intertek against the 13 social performance principles of the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct, including fair wages, working hours, workplace safety, and the prohibition of child and forced labour. An A rating is the highest possible score.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

Selected styles contain GRS-certified recycled fibres, including recycled polyamide and polyester. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) verifies the entire supply chain, from the recycled fibre to the finished product, and includes requirements for social responsibility, environmental practices, and chemical management.

Where & How our Products are Made

We manufacture our products in Europe and in Turkey, a neighbouring country of the European Union.

We are especially proud to work with a women-led underwear manufacturer in Turkey. We believe in transparent partnerships – not long chains of unknown subcontractors.

When selecting our production partners, we look for companies that take social responsibility seriously and operate according to clear ethical standards.

  • Tights: Knitted and manufactured in Italy, the traditional centre of European hosiery production.
  • Bralettes, Briefs, Socks, Sleepwear & Bikinis: Produced in Istanbul by our long-standing manufacturing partner with around 125 employees, who has been regularly audited according to BSCI standards for many years.

We prefer working with a small number of long-term partners rather than constantly changing suppliers. Long-lasting partnerships are the foundation for meaningful audits, consistent quality, and open, honest communication.

Female Empowerment Is an Essential Part of Sustainability

For us, social sustainability doesn’t start in the factory. It starts with how we use our reach.

  • With our “Retire Rich” tights and our joint initiative with Trade Republic, we raised awareness in 2025 around the gender pension gap and supported the non-profit organization Sei Stark e.V.
  • In 2026 we were ranked #21 in the Visibility Charts “Top 25 Female-led Online Shops” (etailment / Warehousing1).
Visibility Charts "Top 25 Female led Onlineshops"

Ranked #21

Among all listed companies, saint sass differentiated itself through the following key performance indicators:

• Visibility across social media channels
• Organic website traffic
• Customer reviews on platforms such as Google and Trustpilot

As Cher once said: “Mom, I am a rich man.”

We believe this should not apply to us alone, but be possible for every woman.

saint sass was founded and is led by women, with a team that is predominantly female.

Where we are still not perfect

To be honest, we will never be finished. We regularly update this page as we continue to move forward. 🖤
